Le Jubilé d’Emmanuel Kunde se tient du 10 au 11 août 2013 à Yaoundé. L’ancien capitaine des Lions Indomptables du Cameroun va ainsi communier pour la dernière fois avec le grand public, ses fans et tous les sportifs qui viendront lui rendre un dernier hommage après une riche carrière passée au sein de l’équipe nationale de football du Cameroun.

Ce grand évènement sportif et culturel se déroulera sur trois sites : Le Centre de formation de la FECAFOOTsis au quartier Odza à Yaoundé, le Stade Omnisport et dans les « Deux zéros » (petites rencontres de football dans des sous quartiers).
Selon le Président du Comité d’Organisation de ce Jubilé, Maboang Kessack (également ancien Lion Indomptable), qui était face à la presse au Club Camtel de Yaoundé, 16 équipes et près de 6OO joueurs venus du Gabon et du Cameroun y prendront part. Le premier temps fort de ce Jubilé est le coup d’envoi des matchs prévus samedi à partir de 9h au Centre de Formation de la FECAFOOT à Odza, où 8 équipes seront en compétition, suivie d’une « Soirée » au City center. Le dimanche, c’est l’apothéose avec des rencontres en matinée, la finale des Vétérans à 14h et le Match de gala à 15H30 au stade Omnisport de Yaoundé. Dimanche soir, le Comité d’organisation a prévu une autre « Soirée » au City Center pour finir le jubilé en beauté.
Pour Emmanuel Kunde, ce jubilé est l’occasion pour lui de « venir dire au revoir à la scène ». « Pour moi c’est un grand évènement, il fallait donc prendre du temps pour qu’il fasse tache d’huile » a-t-il déclaré au cours du point de presse.

Marié depuis plus de 35 ans « avec la même femme » et père de 4 enfants (2 filles et 2 garçons), Emmanuel Kunde s’est imposé au sein des Lions indomptables au poste de milieu défensif et défenseur central. « J’ai toujours tout fait pour que mon gardien ne soit pas en difficulté » a-t-il déclaré avec fierté. Un exemple à suivre. L’ancien capitaine emblématique des Lions indomptables compte 227 sélections en équipe nationale avec 25 buts marqués. Ancien coach du Canon sportif de Yaoundé, Emmanuel Kunde s’est aussi imposé comme coach à l’US Bitam, un club de football du Gabon. Parmi les grandes surprises de son Jubilé, la présence de son fils qui, lui, joue au poste d’avant centre.
Il faut noter que ce Jubilé est organisé entièrement grâce au soutien financier de la Cameroon Télécommunications(Camtel), a annoncé son Responsable de la Communication,Benjamin Gérard Assouzo’o. A travers de telles initiatives, Camtel se présente incontestablement comme une entreprise citoyenne qui fait la fierté du cameroun. Et…ce n’est pas fini.
